Customers using our Android app below version 7.21.0 will see an error message when trying to use the app. Please update your app to the latest version available on the Play Store.

Identified - The 28th of September 2023 is a public holiday in Malaysia, during which banks do not process payments. This means any withdrawals from Luno that we send to the banks won’t be processed by them until the 29th of September 2023.

Please note that this only applies to MYR withdrawals. Crypto withdrawals are being processed as normal according to our service level agreements.

Identified - Instant transfer deposits made by customers banking with Capitec may take longer than usual to relfect in your ZAR wallet. You may make use of a normal EFT deposit, however these too would be delayed as banks take longer to clear these over weekends and public holidays.

Customers who started their account verification on or after 12:00 UTC on 19 September 2023 will see a longer turn around time to have their account verified.

Update - Confirming that all Luno services and platforms are functioning as per normal. We saw 15 minutes of degraded performance and downtime across all regions and platforms.

Customers using the Android & iOS apps would have received an error when opening those apps while our Web interface saw slower than usual performance.

We'll keep this notice up while we continue to monitor for any further spikes in errors.
